The gleaming Ruby should adorn, those in July born….

The Ruby is the second hardest gemstone a number 9 on the Moh’s scale to the diamond which is 10 and therefore the hardest.

It is named after the latin word ”ruber” for red and secures itself as one of the “precious” gemstones.

Rubies are an essential part of royal insignia and are one of the favourite gems of the rich and famous, one of those famous people that comes to mind is the famous actress the late Elizabeth Taylor whose neck adorned a beautiful diamond and ruby neckpiece made by Cartier and was given to her by her late husband Mike Todd in 1957.

Since her death most of Elizabeth Taylors most famous and valuable pieces have been auctioned off.
