An Exclusive First Look at Karl Lagerfeld’s New Engagement Ring Designs

Karl Lagerfeld’s range of designs over the span of his career have included light up shoes for Chanel and chic designs for Coca-cola. His latest project however, brought him to a realm of design he’s not too familiar with – engagement rings.

“I had never done a ring for that occasion,” Lagerfeld admitted. “It was kind of a challenge.”

Lagerfeld’s new collection in collaboration with jeweller Frederick Goldman debuts at the end of the year and focuses on engagement rings for millennials.

The collection has 3 distinct designs, the first in line with the aesthetic of many of his other design work, the second incorporating modern geometric shapes and the third inspired by the curves of Parisian architecture. All the styles can be requested in 18 carat white and yellow gold.

Lagerfeld said about the collection: “The rings had to express something that concerns the heart and real feelings. It has to be a symbol and a sign of a real wish of engagement. It has to be elegant but not bling-bling.”

Above is your exclusive first look at his new elegant but not too bling-y engagement rings.
