Cape Town, the 2014 Design Capital of the World started the first quater of the year rocking and rolling with musos such as Bruce Springsteen, Brian Adams, Carlos Santana and lets not forget the rapper Eminen bracing our fabulous shores.
Then, being the sporting nation that we are the Super 15 rugby series is well under it’s way with the infamous Argus Pick N Pay Momentum Cycle race, the largest timed cycle race of it’s kind in the world, just behind us. And if thats not enough to get you wired, the Absa Cape Epic, one of the toughest mountain bike races in the world, will be taking place here in beautiful Cape Town from Sunday 23rd of March.
We say goodbye to the Aussie cricketers and I know for some of you it’s “good riddance” especially to the aggressive batsman, David Warner whom Janine and I were privved to work with weeks before his impending tour to South Africa to help him design his fiance, Candice Falzon’s engagement ring. What a stunning couple they are and we wish them much happiness in their journey together.
And of course if Cape Town isn’t alive enough the next two major events to hit the Mother City in the next couple of weeks, is firstly The Cape Town International Jazz festival, again topping the ranks as one of the best jazz events in the world attracting artists globally and secondly the Two Oceans Marathon, regarded as the most beautiful marathon in the world which my business partner Janine our fabulous design guru will be taking part in her first ever mrathon never mind it’s an ULTRA marathon
So as we draw to an end of a very busy and active first quater of our 2014 year here in the Mother City, we start to look forward to the changing season into autumn which brings with it the warm shades and an air of hibernation.
