The annual Met Gala is Hollywood’s opportunity to push the fashion envelope and experiment with their own style on the historic museum stairs. This year celebrities flocked to the opening of the Manus x Machina exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the theme of the night was clearly the inspiration for gowns, accessories and jewellery.
And since the theme of the 2016 Ball was all about the meeting of fashion and technology, we saw many light-up clutches and over-the-top earrings and accessories. The 2016 Met Gala will certainly go down in history because of the shoes, bags and jewels that dazzled on the red carpet. Take a look at some of our favourite looks from the night.
